The long onion is a type of onion without a bulb. Widely used to prepare sauces, stews and marinate meats. It is characterized because its green tubular leaves, about 30 centimeters long and 1/2 centimeter in diameter, are the prolongation of a kind of stem formed by very thin white and slightly transparent sheets. Both the stem and the leaves are edible.
